REACH was live at Enschede SLUSH’D and together with Novel-T (University of Twente) we invited exciting guests to the podcast studio. Greta's guest today Michiel Scheffer is president of the European Innovation Council, holds a PhD in geography and has studied regional innovation systems, especially in the field of textiles and clothing. He was elected to the regional parliament 10 years ago and served as regional minister. So, he is an all-rounder with an academic, economic, and political background. Today, Greta talks to him about public funding and why Start-ups should be willing to accept outsiders, because when they dream of getting rich on their own, they often fail. Moreover, what the ecosystem should offer to Start-ups, what dangerous factors they face and much more we address with Michiel in this podcast.
